Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania (1719–1806). ADS, signed “Smith Atty.,” one page, 7.25 x 8.75, 1761. A legal document in Smith’s hand filing a complaint on behalf of a laborer, Adam Hoops, who had not been paid for his services. In very good condition, with folds (a few pinholes and small separations), toning (more prominent along folds and edges, slightly touching signature), and light wear to edges, slightly touching bottom portion of signature.
