Exquisite portfolio of 14 beautiful prints after original watercolors by Luciano Guarnieri of Italy, titled Luna 1969, presented to astronaut Dick Gordon after the Apollo 12 mission. Each print measures 17.5 x 23.5 and depicts a scene from the mission and an individual portrait of Pete Conrad, Dick Gordon, or Alan Bean. Gordon has signed his print in pencil “Richard Gordon, Apollo XII CMP”; Guarniere has also signed each print. On the inside front page of the portfolio folder, Gordon has also written “Presented to me by Ariana Fallaci after the flight of Apollo XII, Richard Gordon, Apollo XII CMP.” The portfolio is housed in a custom hardcover presentation folder. Accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Gordon stating that it is from his personal collection. In very fine condition, with light wear to hard cover.
