Massachusetts lawyer (1731–1814) who served as one of the prosecutors of British soldiers during the Boston Massacre trial; he later signed the Declaration of Independence. Manuscript DS, signed “R. T. Paine,” one page, 6.75 x 8.25, January 1788. A legal document in a case involving taxes due on the cargo of the Schooner Friendship, including fish and fish oil.
