Prominent American industrialist (1849–1919) who served as president of U.S. Steel and assembled a world-class art collection now housed in the New York museum that bears his name. Manuscript DS, signed “H. C. Frick,” one lightly lined page both sides, 8.5 x 13.75, April 11, 1879. A lease between Thomas J. Kenney and H. C. Frick & Co. for a parcel of land in Mifflin Township, Pennsylvania “for the purpose of erecting thereon a coke and coal tipple and all necessary appurtenances thereto for the successful operation of said tipple.” Countersigned by several others. Mild soiling and handling wear (including marginal pinholes), otherwise fine condition.
