Partly printed DS as president, one page on vellum, 12.25 x 8.5, March 10, 1799. A commission for Nathan Tisdale as a surgeon’s mate in the Navy. In very good condition, with faint intersecting folds (lightly touching signature), mild soiling and toning, scattered tiny holes with archival reinforcement, and diagonal tear to text with expert restoration.
