Description

An eloquent and direct broadcast journalist whose courage and integrity set the standard for the profession. TLS signed “Ed,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, CBS, European Offices letterhead, July 29, 1938. Letter to a member of the American Council of Education. In part, “His name is Charles Siepmann…Of all the people I have asked you to look up in the past few years, he is the best. He has got a good mind, is a brilliant conversationalist, and is really curious about what is going on in the States…I am sure you will like him.” Siepmann was one of the early and influential critics of the quality of radio and television broadcasting. In fine condition, with staple holes and paperclip impressions to top and a couple stray ink marks. R&R COA.
