I hope that the torch of freedom of conscience which as a nation we have raised for our own guidance may ever diffuse its rays more widely that its glory may be seen from afar. We in this country shall never suffer that light to grow dim.” In very good condition, with light soiling and toning, file and staple holes, and a touch of wrinkling. The signature is bold and dark.
