Pope to the rank of “Captain in the Corps of Engineers.” Signed at the conclusion in black ink, “Theodore Roosevelt,” and “Wm. H. Taft.” Previous heavy storage folds, moderately heavy overall wrinkling due to the nature of the vellum, and signatures just a shade light, otherwise fine condition. All text and engravings are as crisp and pristine as you will see. A very attractive example of a highly desirable document signed by two United States presidents.
