Letter concerning an ongoing legal case, with Randolph writing, in part, “I have given a memorandum for the…subpeonas…I do not know the gentlemen, but if they should remove tthemselves out of state, the chance will be a poor one…If any of the defendants in Virginia are about to leave, send me affidavits of the fact - of their having Noah’s effects in their hands and of Noah being indebted to you.” In very good condition, with trimmed vertical edges affecting small portions of text, letter affixed to an identical size sheet, scattered toning, with a few heavier spots and several repaired separations.
