TLS signed “L.B.J.,” one page, 7 x 9, personal letterhead, May 14, 1971. In part: “The Mollie Parnis - Lyndon Johnson scarves are lovely, and it gives me much pleasure to be associated with you. I have been envious ever since you and A.W. went into business together. Please let me know how much I owe you so we can keep our accounts straight.” LBJ’s handwritten postscript reads: “Please order me 100 more identical except (can’t you put your name Mollie Parnis on the scarf) It would impress all. Please do.” In fine condition, with minor smudging to a couple of letters in the postscript. R&R COA.
