Description

Corrspondence between Joan Crawford and a friend, “I’m rushing like crazy, having costume fittings during the daytime and story conferences every evening…Then we sail on the 19th on the ‘Queen Mary’ for England. Production starts on ‘The Story of Esther Costello’ in August.”

Lot of fourteen one page TLSs, all 6.5 x 10, ranging in date from 1954 - 1958, all written to Anita Ticktin. Eight are signed in full, three are signed “Joan,” two are signed “J. C.” and one is signed “Joan C.” All are polite replies to letters sent to Craword, mainly concerning her schedule and her family as well as mentioning several projects she is currently involved in. One reads, in part, “I’m rushing like crazy, having costume fittings during the daytime and story conferences every evening…Then we sail on the 19th on the ‘Queen Mary’ for England. Production starts on ‘The Story of Esther Costello’ in August.” In fine condition, with mailing folds to all. R&R COA.
