Lot of two one page TLS. Short letter dated April 5, 1949, sending thanks for a gift and a letter, dated May 12, 1943, reading, in part, “How very sweet of you to name your new baby after me. It makes me so happy and it’s such a lovely compliment…I’d be delighted to send you a smiling picture for little Marilyn Joan.” In fine condition, with small area of paper loss to left edge of first letter.
