Invented the forward-firing machine-gun by deflector plates to the blades of the propeller of his Morane-Saulnier. These small wedges of toughened steel diverted the passage of those bullets which struck the blades. Fountain pen signature, “Souvenir du meeting de Vienna, Garros,” on a gray 4 x 2.5 card, dated June 1912. Card is affixed to a 4.25 x 6 gray card, also bearing a photo of Garros and two men walking in a field. In fine condition. R&R COA.
