Göring proclaims the glory of the Graf Zeppelin

German politician who began his career as an ace in WW I, rose to become Hitler’s right-hand man and head of the Luftwaffe. He was finally captured and committed suicide on the eve of his execution. TLS in German, signed “Göring,” one page, 8.25 x 11.75, Reichminister for Aviation letterhead, November 2, 1933. Letter to J. Braun, machinist on the Graf Zeppelin, congratulating him on his service aboard the airship. In part, “I want to express to you my warmest recognition for your significant success. The outstanding performance of this unique German airship will for all time be a glorious chapter in the history of aviation. You were part of making known to the whole world that the spirit of German enterprise is indestructible.” In fine condition, with light mailing folds and some mild toning and soiling.
