Description

Group of 11 desk awards and mementos from the the personal collection of Apollo 14 moonwalker Edgar Mitchell, including:

- a Marshall Space Flight Center "Charter Inductee" trophy with crystal obelisk and engraved plaque: "Edgar Mitchell, Charter Inductee, Footprints to the Future, July 17, 1999."
- a Planetary Studies Foundation "Honorary Life Member" award, engraved: "Edgar D. Mitchell, Apollo 14."
- an "Edgar Mitchell Award for Noetic Leadership," featuring a two-ring sculpture on a wooden base, with plaque reading: "With thanks and appreciation to Edgar Mitchell, Sc.D., From FIONS—New York City, March 15, 2006."
- an award featuring a glass sphere with an image of da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, etched on the base: "With gratitude for your partnership, vision and service, 25 years exploring the frontiers of consciousness, Edgar D. Mitchell, Founder, Institute of Noetic Sciences."
- a "Leonardo da Vinci Professor of Thinking" bronze medallion from the University of Advancing Technology, Tempe, Arizona, engraved on the reverse: "Edgar D. Mitchell, ScD, PhD, June 3, 2011."
- a glass obelisk etched with the National Football League's "NFL Alumni" logo, engraved below: "Old Hero Award '88, Edgar D. Mitchell," with wooden pedestal.
- an acrylic award etched, "2008 PRG, Lifetime Achievement Award, Hall of Fame Inductee, Edgar D. Mitchell, PhD."
- an award from the Palm Beach Kiwanis Club with glass cube engraved "Edgar Dean Mitchell," the cube detached from its base.
- a glass obelisk engraved "Chaos Award, Edgar D. Mitchell, Liege, 1999, Belgium," with a large chip to one edge.
- an award featuring a sculpture portraying Earth and Man, with Portuguese plaque: "Ordem do Merito da Fraternidade Ecumenica, Edgar Mitchell, Hors Concours, Agraciado em 2000, Parlamundi da LBV."
- an award featuring a hand cradling a globe from "INET' 2001, 7o Congreso Internacional sobre Tecnologias Inteligentes e Redes Globais."
