Founding Father and politician (1735–1807) who served twice as governor of Georgia, was a delegate to the Continental Congress, and signed the Articles of Confederation. Revolutionary War-dated colonial Georgia engraved bank note for "Five Shillings," 5 x 3, issued as No. 4243, reading: "These are to Certify, That the Sum of Five Shillings, is due from this Province to the Bearer hereof," and dated 1776. Signed at the conclusion in ink by Edward Telfair, "E. Telfair," and countersigned by two others. Encapsulated and graded by PMG as "Very Fine 30."
