Description

Founding Father, lawyer, and builder (1742–1807) from Virginia who was a delegate to the Second Continental Congress, where he signed the Articles of Confederation. Manuscript DS, one page both sides, 8 x 10.75, October 27, 1791. Power of attorney legal document involving Benjamin Bucktrout and Robert Greenhow, in part: "Know all men by these presents that Benjamin Bucktrout do make constitute and appoint Robert Andrews my true and lawful attorney for me and in my name." Signed at the conclusion in ink by John Harvie. In good to very good condition, with splitting and chipping to the fragile folds, some of which has been reinforced with old tape. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA.
