Handwritten letter to Daisy Chanler, in part: "When I said goodbye to your husband I sent you an invitation which I hope you can accept. Will you & he come to me on the 24th of June to Oyster Bay & with me the next day on the Dolphin to New London to see the boat races, & stay with me there until the 27th. I wish I could ask you to return with me to Oyster Bay, but Alice joins me at New London with some young people whom I must bring back to Sagamore for Sunday." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Roosevelt's own hand. The recipient, Margaret 'Daisy' Chanler, was the wife of Winthrop Astor Chanler, a sportsman and soldier who fought in the Spanish–American War and World War I.
