Katsumori Yamashiro, Comdr.," who adds a detailed map from “Aug. 2, 1843,” which charts the incident within the waterways of the Solomon Islands, noting “Kolombangara Island,” “Gozo,” the “Vella Gulf,” and the area of impact between Kennedy’s PT-109 and the Japanese destroyer Amagiri, with Yamashiro adding, “I, as commander of the Amagiri gave orders to avoid collision with PT109.” In fine condition.
