Description

Complete 7 x 2.5 ticket for admission to the 1981 Indianapolis 500, held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 24, 1981, marked as "Stand C, Sec. 23, Row G, Seat 18," with two cancelation punches. Encapsulated as authentic by PSA.

The 1981 Indianapolis 500 was marked by a major controversy between drivers Bobby Unser and Mario Andretti. After a chaotic race, Unser initially finished first but was penalized one lap for illegally passing cars under caution, which gave Andretti the win. However, after an appeal, Unser’s penalty was rescinded months later, restoring his victory.
