Description

Partly-printed vellum DS as president, signed “J. Q. Adams,” one page, 14.5 x 8.75, May 25, 1825. President Adams grants Thomas B. Creagh, assignee of John Darrington, a tract "containing Eighty Acres…in the District of St. Stephens and State of Alabama.” Signed at the conclusion by John Quincy Adams and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office George Graham. Archivally double-matted and framed with two plaques and a portrait to an overall size of 23 x 24. In fine condition, with most of the seal missing.
