In part: "His Conduct in leaving Philadelphia just at the Time when by Back was turned, and when he knew his Presence to be of more Consequence there than ever it had been, is, indeed, extraordinary…I entrusted to him important Business at the Land-Office…How he can reconcile such Conduct I am at a loss to discover. However, my Business can be done without him. As to what is to be done about the Land-Office, Mayor Nichols will supply his Place." Double-matted and framed with a portrait and plaque to an overall size of 19 x 36.75. In fine condition, with damage to the upper corners of the frames.
