Superb matte-finish 11 x 14 portrait photo of Franklin D. Roosevelt by the Hessler Studio, signed and inscribed in the lower border in bold ink as president, “For Gov. Chase A. Clark, from his friend, Franklin D. Roosevelt.” In very fine condition. Chase Addison Clark was an American jurist (1883–1966) who served as the 18th governor of Idaho from January 6, 1941, until January 4, 1943. Following his governorship, Clark was nominated by President Roosevelt to a seat on the United States District Court for the District of Idaho on February 18, 1943.
