Blank album sleeve for David Bowie's album Lodger, signed on the front cover in black ink, "Bowie '79." In fine condition, with some light scuffing. The record is included. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, in part: "I received the autographed "Lodger" album by David Bowie in late spring or early summer of 1979 from Jay Hart who was the RCA Records promo person for the greater Cincinnati region. At the time I was the music director for WVXU, a high- powered, student run FM radio station. We were playing music from The Police, The Talking Heads, Devo and many other groups long before the established corporate radio stations were. As a result (and possibly my unbridled enthusiasm) the promo people were very kind to me with concert tickets, discs and other swag. I kept the Bowie record, a Sex Pistols t-shirt and a few picture discs in my possession since then." Lodger was Bowie's 13th studio and a modest commercial success, peaking at number 4 in the UK and number 20 in the US.
