Signer of the US Constitution from Pennsylvania (1744–1800) and first governor of that state. Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “Tho. Mifflin,” one page, 20.5 x 11, June 2, 1797. As governor of Pennsylvania, Mifflin grants unto Samuel Hodgdon "a certain tract of land called 'Aurora.'" Signed in the upper left corner by Mifflin, and countersigned at the conclusion by James Trimble. The white paper seal affixed to the upper left remains mostly intact, with folded points. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, overall wrinkling, scattered staining, and a few tiny holes above Mifflin's signature.
