Fantastic ALS signed "Patsy," six pages on two sets of adjoining sheets with cowboy illustrations, 4 x 5, January 20, 1962. Significant handwritten letter to friend Marie Flynt, in part [grammar and spelling retained]: "Well I'm taking off again on another trip. Start tonight in Tulsa & then to Kansas, Idaho, Omaha, South Dakota, Wichita & Des Moines. This trip with Johnny Cash, George Jones, Carl Perkins, Gorden Terry & myself. Should really be a wet tour with all these drinking nuts. Then come home for 3 days & go back to Canada for 2 days…Gosh! I sure hated to see you all leave that day at home. I just felt strange about you leaving and I was afraid something would happen, but thought maybe I was just like that because of all my accidents, I sure hope all is well & you got the car fixed O.K…Well looks like my new record is gonna make a little noise after all. It's going in no 60 slot next week in Bill Board and they are calling it a 2 sided hit. Dick Clark is playing it and that's a big help. It was the highest rated record he had of new releases last week. Everyone says this is the best one yet and says ole Hank Cochran (who wrote it) really did his self a master-piece this time. He also wrote 'Little Bitty Tear' & E Tubbs' 'Through That Door.' He's got 3 or 4 in the charts now & he's tickled pink. They want me to do another album right away but I'm gonna be real sick with my throat for the next 2 mos, so I can't cut another one yet. The album to date has sold 40,000 and is just now breakin big in sales. The new one (single) has sold about 250,000 copies so far and only been out a week & 1/2. Don't guess I'll get to do the Ed Sullivan show any time soon. Randy is holding out until they give me $5000 for a T.V. spot. I think he's too high but he says he'll get it if this record gets in the top 40. I hope he's right & so far he's been right." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Cline's own hand, and a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA. After the success of 'I Fall to Pieces,' which Cochran also penned, Cline released 'She's Got You' on January 10, 1962, which served as the first single for her third studio album, Sentimentally Yours.
