ALS in French, three pages on two adjoining sheets, 4 x 5, no date. Handwritten letter to Emil, ostensibly the renowned composer and scored editor Emil von Sauer, in full (translated): “I would like to give you what I owe you, but I cannot bring my little debt to you. I shall be at home on Thursday, the day after tomorrow, from 11:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. It would be very kind of you to come then with your small bill.” Franck adds a postscript: “If you are not free this coming Thursday, I shall also be at home on Thursday, the eighth, from 11:00 A.M. to 4:30 Ρ.Μ.” In fine condition.
