R & I—Christmas 1877." Autographic condition: fine. Book condition: VG/G, with paper splitting at front hinge, and some losses, splits, and sunning to the rare leather presentation jacket. Accompanied by a contemporary manuscript copy of the poem "The Queen's Book," as published in the Victorian satirical magazine Punch in 1868, loosely laid into the front of the book.
