Archive of 12 original vintage circa 1976-77 photographs of images taken by the Viking 2 lander and orbiter, including four chromogenic color photos and eight black-and-white silver gelatin photos, all 10 x 8, most with affixed NASA mimeographed captions and "This Paper Manufactured by Kodak" watermarks on the reverse. The color photos include two taken by the Viking 2 lander, showing a boulder-strewn field of red rocks in Mars's Utopian Plain and a panorama of the Martian horizon; and two taken by the Viking 2 orbiter, showing a Martian dust storm and a frosty scene nears Mars's north pole. The black-and-white photographs feature Mars's north polar ice cap and surrounding dune fields as seen by the Viking 2 Orbiter, the rocky Martian surface captured by the Viking 2 Lander, and two exquisite panoramas of the Martian landscape. In overall fine condition.
