Japanese-American actor (1920-1982) and former silver medal-winning Olympic weightlifter best known for his role as the deadly hat-wielding Oddjob in the classic Bond film Goldfinger. Very rare vintage glossy 9.25 x 7.5 photo of Harold Sakata flexing and wearing his Olympic tank top, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Tommy Martindale, Best wishes and good luck always, Harold Sakata, U.S. Olympic weight lifting team, 1948.” In fine condition, with trimmed edges. A marvelously rare photo of Sakata signed the very year he won a silver medal in the weightlifting light-heavyweight division at the London 1948 Summer Olympics—a powerful and uncommon pose.
