Handwritten letter to "Miss Leslie, in full: "I was very grateful for your visit with Miss Charteris, yesterday—though indeed the memories of happy days are now fading fast—except from my heart. Are you at home this afternoon—I would come in presently if Miss Charteris could show me her work—or tomorrow—if it would be better." Matted and framed with a portrait to an overall size of 17.25 x 14.75. In very good to fine condition, with faint stains to the upper and lower blank areas, and some damage to the lower right edge of the frame.
