Navy blue official United States Air Force flight cap, referred to as a garrison cap in the United States Navy and Marine Corps, signed on the side in silver ink, "Buzz Aldrin." Made by the Bernard Cap Co. and trimmed with silver and blue cord-edge braid along the cap’s overlapping edges, the cap is marked inside: "Cap, Flight, Air Force, Blue, Size: 6 7/8." In fine condition, with a PSA/DNA label affixed to the inner hatband. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from PSA/DNA. An interesting format honoring Aldrin's military service: he was commissioned into the United States Air Force and served as a jet fighter pilot during the Korean War, flying 66 combat missions and shooting down two enemy MiG-15 aircraft.
