Archive of original vintage glossy silver gelatin press photographs documenting events in modern Israel, circa 1960s–1980s, ranging in size from 4.5 x 3.5 to 10 x 8, with subjects including: demonstrations following the fire at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem in 1969; Moshe Sharett meeting with dignitaries; Paula and David Ben-Gurion; warships purchased from France prior to the Six-Day War; pro-Israel demonstrations in Paris prior to the Six-Day War; rescuers searching through rubble after a 1966 earthquake in Jordan; the disabled Israeli cargo ship Etrog; Palestinian militant Leila Khaled, the first woman to hijack an airplane; the American Israel Pavilion at the New York World's Fair, 1964–1965; Chaimg Herzog visiting an Arab book fair; Syrian delegatee George J. Tomeh speaking during a meeting of the United Nations Security Council in 1966; a Gabriel missile; the Lebanese town of Sidon after its fall to the IDF; U Thant speaking with Arthur Goldberg at the United Nations; Sirhan Sirhan after the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy; Jewish artworks; poet Avraham Shlonsky; a 1982 meeting of the World Zionist Congress; and others. Many are captioned on the reverse. In overall very good to fine condition.
