Description

Hoover the angler—"A stuffed fish is rather a difficult article to get from the Pacific coast"

TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, January 10, 1934. Letter to George Stewart of Philadelphia, in full: “I have your kind letter of January 5. I was very much interested in your observations and wish you would continue to advise me what occurs to you as you go along. You may be interested to know that the line-dryer has had good use. It is a constant reminder of you. A stuffed fish is rather a difficult article to get from the Pacific coast. But it occurs to me that Mr. Mark Sullivan of Washington, D. C. has two stuffed sail fish and might be willing to part with one of them if he could get the cost of stuffing it back. This is, however, purely a hazard on my part. I greatly appreciate the clippings which you sent to me. And this letter gives me the opportunity to wish you a happy and prosperous New Year.” In fine condition.
