Outstanding original costume sketch of Janet Leigh in her role as Bertie Austin in the 1963 film Wives and Lovers, accomplished in graphite and watercolor on a 13.25 x 15.75 sheet of sketch paper. The full-length sketch shows the design for the patterned dress worn by Leigh in the "Hangover Scene," signed and approved in artist's grease pencil in the lower right corner, “OK, Edith.” In very good condition, with light wrinkling and creasing, a small area of paper loss to the top edge, and an even cut down the left side, repaired with tape on the reverse.
