I look forward to seeing you again." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope and the change-of-address card referenced, giving Bush's new mailing address as "c/o Republican National Committee," and his new residence, as of July, at "5161 Palisade Lane, N.W., Washington, D.C."
Appointed by Richard Nixon, George Bush served as United States Ambassador to the United Nations from 1971 until 1973, when he became chairman of the Republican National Committee. During Bush's tenure at the RNC, the Watergate scandal emerged into public view; Bush initially steadfastly defended Nixon, but as the president's complicity became clear he focused on defending the Republican Party, urging Nixon to resign.
