Amusing original sketch by Marlon Brando of screenwriter Stewart Stern, accomplished in black ink on an off-white 3.75 x 5.75 notebook page, with Brando drawing a cartoonish profile portrait of “Stewart Stern,” with an arrow pointing to the writer’s eyes, which Brando has coined “Orbs,” and added above: “I’m the one that watches!!!” Stern annotates the upper portion in ballpoint: “Portrait of me by Marlon, Bangkok, Thailand, March 1956.” In fine condition. Brando later starred in the 1963 adventure film The Ugly American, which was written by Stern.
