Description

Space Shuttle Data Processing System (DPS) checklist page attested to as flown and from the collection of Space Shuttle astronaut Karol Bobko, 7.5 x 11, marked as page "5-23/24," with one side featuring four remarks pertaining to various spacecraft systems, and the other side intentionally left blank. In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity documenting the page's origin, in full: "This checklist page was flown in space on the Space Shuttle Discovery for seven days during STS-51D. The page is from Mission Commander Karol 'Bo' Bobko's mission flown and used DPS Dictionary Checklist. The DPS, or Data Processing System, was the core of the shuttle's avionics system and allowed the crew, among other things, to monitor system status, update the autopilot, and control mechanical systems such as the payload bay doors. Accordingly, this checklist was a critical reference guide for Mission Commander Bobko's use during the spaceflight. This checklist is from Bobko's personal collection. A copy of the flight certified cover page, bearing a signed inscription from Bobko indicating this checklist's flight history, is included below."
