Photographer Barry Feinstein's original outtake proof from the picture sleeve shoot for Ringo Starr's 1973 single 'Photograph,' showing the former Beatles drummer poking his head through a silver foil star. The color semi-glossy 16 x 20 photograph is affixed to its original 20 x 24 board, with a protective paper overlay; the mount is stamped on the reverse by Ted Staidle & Associates Photographic Color Reproduction, Los Angeles. The square-shaped 11.75 x 11 image is printed askew on the photo paper. In very good to fine condition, with a light central block of toning to the image.
One of Ringo Starr's signature solo singles, co-written with former Beatles bandmate George Harrison, 'Photograph' was released on September 24, 1973, as the lead single from his album Ringo. The song became an international hit, topping singles charts in the United States, Canada, and Australia.
From the personal collection of Barry Feinstein and accompanied by a letter of authenticity from his estate. Barry Feinstein passed away in 2011, and since then his estate has offered posthumous estate stamped limited edition photographs from his archives; this example, printed during his lifetime and deriving from his personal collection, is superior to those gallery offerings.
