The color semi-glossy 15.25 x 15.75 photograph is affixed to its original 20 x 24 board, with a protective paper overlay featuring a label from Ted Staidle & Associates Photographic Color Reproduction, Los Angeles. In this image, Bonnie is looking down and Delaney is conversing with his grandfather; in the similar image chosen for the album's front cover, Bonnie peers straight ahead while Delaney looks away. Recorded at Stax Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, the album offers a classic blend of blues and soul, with backing performances by many of Stax's legendary house musicians, including Donald 'Duck' Dunn, Steve Cropper, Booker T. Jones, and Isaac Hayes.
