Partly-printed vellum DS as president, signed “Benj. Harrison,” one page, 15 x 18, January 7, 1892. President Harrison appoints Hollis C. Clark as "Second Lieutenant of Infantry in the service of the United States." Boldly signed at the conclusion in ink by President Benjamin Harrison and countersigned by Secretary of War Stephen B. Elkins. The blue seal affixed at the lower left remains fully intact. Handsomely cloth-matted and framed with a portrait and plaque to an overall size of 29 x 26. In fine condition, with intersecting folds and some skipping to Harrison's signature.
