Philatelic archive of over 70 FDCs and commemorative covers from the collection of Apollo 12 moonwalker Alan Bean, which is highlighted by 10 covers signed in ink by one or more astronauts from the Apollo 12 and three Skylab missions. These are as follows:
- Four FDCs with Skylab-related cachets and imagery, each containing multiple signatures of astronauts from each of the three Skylab missions, with two covers containing signatures of all nine Skylab astronauts (Charles Conrad, Joe Kerwin, and Paul Weitz; Alan Bean, Owen Garriott, and Jack Lousma; Jerry Carr, Bill Pogue, and Ed Gibson), and the other two also nearly complete, with one missing Conrad and Kerwin, and another only missing Gibson
- Apollo 12 U.S Navy Recovery Force (Atlantic) cover, signed in ink by Bean, Conrad, and Richard Gordon
- Skylab 2 FDC signed by the full crew: Conrad, Kerwin, and Weitz
- German Apollo 12 cover signed by Conrad and Gordon
- Skylab Program cover signed by Bean
- FDC with inset Skylab III medallion and original Skylab artwork, signed by Bean
- Envelope with an International Astronautical Federation (IAF) 30th Congress cachet and postmarks, signed by Bean
The archive, which also includes two Skylab FDCs signed by acclaimed space artist Robert McCall, contains over 60 covers related to various American and Soviet aeronautical achievements, a large number of which are dedicated to Bean’s Apollo 12 and Skylab III missions. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Amy Bean, the daughter of Alan Bean.
