Limited edition Apollo 11 50th Anniversary display containing a .5˝ x .5˝ swatch of Kapton foil attested as being removed from the outer skin of the Apollo 11 Command Module Columbia, encased in a triangular 4.25˝ x 4.25˝ x 1.25˝ block of Lucite, numbered 26/50, which also contains an Apollo 11 Robbins medal restrike created for the 50th anniversary of the mission, 39 mm, 1 oz of silver-plated copper, with the face featuring an early design of the iconic Apollo 11 mission insignia raised in high relief, showing the eagle carrying the olive branch in its beak, and the reverse bearing the last names of astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins, engraved launch, moon landing, and return dates, and anniversary text and dates, "1969–2019." The display includes its original Robbins Medal Commemorative booklet with a medallion window holder that reveals a Velcro-affixed Apollo 11 mission patch on the inside. In fine condition.
