President Tyler and Secretary Webster approve "the Barque called Cora…lying at present in the port of New Bedford...for a whaling voyage"

Partly-printed DS, signed “J. Tyler” as president and "Dan'l Webster" as secretary of state, one page, 19.25 x 15.5, September 2, 1841. Four-language ship’s paper issued to “Archelaus Baker, master or commander of the Barque called Cora…lying at present in the port of New Bedford, bound for Pacific Ocean and laden with Provisions, Stores and Utensils for a whaling voyage.” Boldly signed by President John Tyler and countersigned by Secretary of State Daniel Webster. The middle portion retains the original white paper seal. Handsomely matted and framed to an overall size of 27.5 x 23.5. In fine condition.
