American United States Air Force general (1912–2002) who served as commander of the World War II Tuskegee Airmen. Two color 16 x 14 prints of the P-51 Mustang artwork used for the United States Postal Service 32¢ stamp in 1887, both with first day-canceled stamps affixed in the lower border, each signed in black ballpoint, "Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., Lt. Gen. U.S. Air Force (Ret'd)." In fine condition, with a single small surface crease at the top edge of one print's image. Accompanied by the oversized original mailing envelope, also signed on both the flap and return address area by Davis.
