Addressed from Sauve, France, a handwritten letter to art dealer Tom Horvitz, in part: "Sorry for the delay in getting this to you—and even this is not fully adequate, but it's the best I can do under the circumstances…It's very difficult to get Xeroxes made around here…It's time consuming, and things’ve been very hectic…All I have on hand to bargain with is recent work, done in the last few months, of which I think are some nice pieces, but, as I can’t send you Xeroxes, there’s no way to guarantee you’d like them…but I’ll describe them…All these are 14˝ x 17˝ or thereabouts…all black and white…1. Cover of Hup #2 / 2. Poster for Angouleme Comics Festival (shows my head bursting open and 15 or so characters flying out including Mr. Natural…Fritz the Cat…Devil Girl… / 3.
