Description

Witness (born 1932) to the assassination of John F. Kennedy, who took a polaroid photo of the fatal headshot that killed the president. The background of the image captures the grassy knoll, a point of contentious debate in many Kennedy assassination theories. Color satin-finish 14 x 11 photo of Mary Ann Moorman as she captures an image of President John F. Kennedy after being fatally shot in Dallas, Texas, signed in the lower border in blue felt tip by Moorman, who recounts her experience above, “My friend, Jean Hill (in red) and I (in blue) drove to Dealey Plaza the misty morning of November 22, 1963 to see and photograph our president and Jackie. As I focused the camera I heard a noise which I thought was a firecracker. I heard three shots and I have no idea where they came from. In the confusion, I heard Jackie cry out ‘my God, he’s been shot.’ A secret service man climbed on the back of the car as Jackie was reaching over the back. The car then sped away. The crowd began to run in all directions.” In fine condition, with grainy image quality.
