Uncommon vintage matte-finish 3.25 x 5.25 postcard photo of Rabindranath Tagore in a close-up head-and-shoulders pose, neatly signed in the lower border in fountain pen. Annotated on the reverse in contemporary ink: "Jan. 9, 1917, Auditorium, Des Moines." In very good to fine condition, with a few small creases, and silvering over much of the image.
