Original 10.5 x 16 Federal Bureau of Investigation wanted poster issued for Leroy Eldridge Cleaver, leveling charges of "interstate flight - assault with intent to commit murder." The poster lists his personal details and physical description, noting his occupations as "author, clerk, laborer, magazine editor, reporter, writer," and warns: "Cleaver allegedly has engaged police officers in gun battle in the past. Consider armed and extremely dangerous." The poster bears the facsimile signature of FBI director J. Edgar Hoover, and is addressed on the reverse to the postmaster of Cooke City, Montana. In fine condition, with folds as issued.
