Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “George R,” one page, 13 x 9, October 16, 1805. King George III appoints Henry Stanyford Blanckley "to be Second Lieutenant to that Company…in Our Twenty Third Regiment of Foot, or Royal Welsh Fuzileers commanded by Our Trusty & Welbeloved General Richard Granville." Boldly signed at the head by King George III. The paper seals affixed below his signature remain intact. Double-matted and framed with a portrait, plaque, and two coins (one detached from its mount) to an overall size of 21.5 x 27. In fine condition, with some damage to the corners of the frame.
